Cranberry Sauce with Ground Cloves, Apples, and Orange Liquor

This Thanksgiving I decided to change up the usual cranberry sauce by adding just a few more ingredients such as lemon, orange, apples, cloves and orange  liquor.

I think the combination of the added ingredients helps to bring down the bitterness of the cranberries and makes a perfect side to serve up with Turkey.

What an interesting twist on the classic cranberry sauce! I bet it gives it a lot of depth of flavor! I need to jot this down and try it , I still have a bag of cranberries.

I made a similar recipe, only I used Kim Kelly’s recipe for Grand Marnier Cranberries. Soo good, and they taste even better, if there are any left, the next day. Hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
