Anabelle’s Tasty Pancake Tower… Perfect for Valentine’s Day… or any Sunday

“Frigidaire and Jennifer Garner are teaming up to inspire families everywhere to roll up their sleeves and get cooking together. People can join in the Frigidaire Kids’ Cooking Academy
( www.maketimeforchange.com) to get great recipes, how-to videos and tips, all designed to help involve kids in the kitchen. When they do, Frigidaire will donate $1 to Save the Children to help make sure that more children have access to healthy foods (1). Plus, to help spread the word, everyone who participates will be entered for a chance to win the daily prize, a kids’ apron set, and the grand prize: a new Double Oven Range from Frigidaire.”

As a mom and as a Foodbuzz Featured Publisher, I did not want to pass up the chance to submit a kid-friendly recipe blog post to Frigidaire Kids’ Cooking Academy.  My post will help make a difference by having  Foodbuzz and Frigidaire donate $50 to Save the Children organization.

Please read on if you love pancakes…

My daughter Anabelle loves pancakes, but then most kids do as well.  It’s become our Sunday morning ritual to make pancakes for breakfast.    I recently bought an electric griddle to help the pancake making process easier for her.  She’s been having so much fun with the new griddle.  She has been trying to make pancakes in all different sizes.

Since I thought they were all so cute and perfect in their own way, I decided to form it into a big tower of pancakes and showcase her creation.  My husband, Mosses helped with the idea of inserting a wooden skewer in the middle to hold these puppies together for  a  quick pic of these beauties.

Eating them were the most fun of all!  For some reason the smaller pancakes layered on top of each other as 4 tiers, tasted better than a single large pancake.  As much as the photo might look like we spent hours in the kitchen, we were probably there for 20 minutes.  I suggest when you get the chance to try it with your kids at home.  It’s super fun and the perfect treat for a special Sunday.

The recipe we use is very simple, but also very good.
